Privacy Policy
Last update: August 2026.
1. Who processes your data
Valdemar S.A., Chilean tax ID (RUT) 00.000.000-0, registered at Basilio Urrutia #4985, Talcahuano, Biobío Region, Chile (postcode 4281032), is the controller of the personal data collected through this website.
Contact point for data protection matters: info@valdemar.cl.
2. What we collect and why
Contact form. We collect the name, email address and message you write, together with the page you submitted from and the date and time of submission. We use them solely to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation and follow up on any commercial relationship arising from it.
Form security. To block automated submissions we record your IP address and send it to the Cloudflare Turnstile verification service. We also keep a technical record (IP and timestamp) to limit how many submissions a single visitor can make. This data is used for security only, never commercially.
We do not build profiles, we make no automated decisions about you, and we do not use your data for advertising.
3. Legal basis
Processing of the form data is based on your consent, given freely and informedly when you submit it. The anti-abuse technical record is based on our legitimate interest in keeping the site operational and spam-free.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to info@valdemar.cl; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell or transfer your data. Only the providers needed to run the site and our email are involved:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) — Turnstile anti-bot verification. Receives your IP address and technical browser data.
- Google LLC (United States) — web fonts (Google Fonts) and the map embedded on the contact page (Google Maps). Both receive your IP address when they load.
- Hosting and email provider — stores the site and delivers form messages to our mailbox.
International transfer. Cloudflare and Google process this data on servers outside Chile, mainly in the United States. By using this site and submitting the form you accept that transfer.
5. How long we keep it
- Form messages: 24 months from the last contact, unless the commercial relationship requires longer retention for accounting or contractual reasons.
- Technical security records: 12 months.
6. Your rights
As the data subject you may exercise the rights of access, rectification, cancellation or erasure and objection, and — under Law 21.719, in force from 1 December 2026 — also portability and blocking.
To exercise them, write to info@valdemar.cl stating your name and the right you wish to exercise. We will reply within the statutory deadlines. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Chilean Data Protection Agency once it is operating.
7. Applicable law
This processing is governed by Chilean Law No. 19.628 on the protection of private life and, from 1 December 2026, by Law No. 21.719 which replaces it.
8. Security
The site is served entirely over HTTPS and form messages travel encrypted to our mail server. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures against unauthorised access, although no system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to this policy
If we amend this policy we will update the date in the header. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
